Hi, my name is Bianca and together with my husband Dan and daughter Chloe we squeezed our souls, brains and energy on making the perfect house bed for our toddler daughter.
I’ll be honest, I dreamed about this so much and once I was ready to place an order I decided that I wanted to make it for her. Maybe you’ll ask yourself why would I want this? Well… this is my story and also my soulmate’s.
Firstly, we both appreciate the small gestures, almost all the time we offer each other gifts which have a meaning, not a price. We will educate our daughter to appreciate handmade things, small gestures, things which are offered from the soul and even the smallest effort someone puts for her. We know once she understands better all this stuff she will love her bed from the bottom of her heart, she will appreciate it at its value.
Secondly, as a child, I received from my dada a porcelain doll which was kept for almost 20 years probably and last year my mom decided to throw it away as no one used it or played with it. This happened on the year I asked her to send it to us so I could offer it as an inheritance to Chloe. The news broke my heart and I knew I needed to find something special. Of course, my dad offered me other gifts over the years, but nothing compares with that doll. Maybe the house bed will not be her childhood memory gift, but I know I want to try to offer her special things until she keeps them in her heart.
Nonetheless, in the past years, I found this passion for trying new things, making homemade stuff, and creating boxes/ baskets with special stuff for special events. Inspired by others, but personally makings.
I think nothing from shops/ stores will beat the things I make with my hands.
Making memories, putting more or less effort into making something and learning to enjoy the work with my hands is a passion found since I am a mother and I plan to grow and evolve each month.
